About the event

What does it mean to live a creative life?

I am fascinated with how artists and creatives make a life and how they make their work. It's a little like my obsession with biography and memoir, human beings are endlessly creative in how they live, survive, cope, love and make meaning.  The spectrum of human behavior and experiences is infinite, and that is what makes it so interesting and juicy.

And as a human and an artist, I began to notice for myself, that my life process (the way I go about understanding who I am and how I tick) is pretty aligned with my understanding of my art process (what is always flowing and available given who I am and how I relate to the world).  You cannot help being who you are at your core.

So how do we shine attention on our desires for the work, and set ourselves up to be in communion with our work?

What is always flowing and available to you (Process) and what you do with it (Practice) is deeply intertwined.  And the agency  and joy you can leverage by knowing how this all works for you, is a large part of our work together.

Through five group sessions and two individual one-on-ones, we will work on nurturing your practice through:

Understanding You: Your Process

Setting yourself up for the Work: Your Practice

Focusing and Setting Goals

Identifying and Working with Creative Blocks

Cultivating Creative Resilience

Your Practice & Process:  Making the Connection

Enroll in this cohort beginning mid March.   Class size capped at 8 participants. Group sessions are held every other week.  One-on-ones scheduled individually at the beginning and the end of the program.
